Spending time online is barely ever productive, it usually entails a very bored person scrolling and scrolling and scrolling until the feed lags in loading. It is then that you realise that you’ve spent four hours on Facebook. Some people are doing it habitually, and waste all day surfing the internet. Those maybe the most popular online activities these days, but are those activities useful? It’s not wide of the mark, but there are other things you can do in front of computer, something prolific and productive.

This is e-learning or the education conducted through an electronic media, normally happening on the internet. Unlike traditional schooling, the courses or programs are usually taken online. Many websites and colleges deliver online course in extremely interactive environments. You are able to communicate with your professors from top universities and institutions. Discussions, articles, and assessments are made in all kinds of formats – word documents, PDFs, videos or slideshows. And to have a proof of your study, you also receive a certificate the end of each course you will take to further embellish your portfolio or resume.

Studying online is not far from going to school; it obliges you to focus and exert some effort within the comfort of your own home. It’s great to learn something new every day. But the good thing is, you can do it in your leisure time and there’s no feeling of pressure or stress, except for when you have deadlines and submissions. See, it’s not that different from regular school. You can work by day and study during your free time. And your life on the internet will be changed for the better. This gives an opportunity to all the people who stay at home or have a lot of free time using the internet to pursue their career or gain new qualifications. And even if you’re the busiest person in the world, you can still try E-learning because it has the ability to fit learning around your lifestyle.

Today, everything goes digital and education shouldn’t be left behind. So if you want to be productive while being online, try E-learning. Discover new knowledge and develop yourself further.
