Sony Middle East & Africa has announced that users can enjoy a personalized experience by using the voice search in their own language on the award-winning Bravia Android TVs.


TV owners can now talk to the remote control in Arabic to search content, stream shows, play songs and check the weather by simply speaking in Arabic to the microphone of their smart remote. Viewers can also talk directly to their TVs, thanks to the hands-free voice search available in selective models. The voice-activated TV can even dim the lights when connected to smart home devices, manage tasks and personal calendars.

In March, Sony MEA had announced that Shahid, the leading Arabic on-demand content app, can be downloaded on Sony Android TVs from Google Play, while new Sony customers can avail of a 12-month free subscription to Shahid VIP content when they buy Sony 8K, Oled and all 4K Android TV models.
By using the Arabic Voice Search on Sony Bravia Android TVs enabled with Shahid VIP subscriptions, Arabic speaking viewers can enjoy a personalized experience and a wide selection of entertainment to suit their tastes. In addition to Arabic, Sony Android TVs’ voice control is available in many languages, including English, French, Hindi and Russian.

The Sony Bravia Android TV offers visuals, smart features and compatibility to various web apps on its latest TVs. With its “amazing image processing and partnership with Google’s Android, Sony Bravia Android TVs boast of class-leading picture and sound quality with several exclusive technologies and features designed to create the most immersive visual media experience possible”.

It offers the Netflix Calibrated Mode specially developed to enjoy Netflix originals and reproduce the same picture quality on a TV as on a studio evaluation master. Many of them support the Dolby Vision HDR format to “deliver striking highlights, deeper darks and vibrant colours”, while Dolby Atmos compatibility brings “space and realism to the audio to further enhance the viewing experience”.
