Qatar IT Conference and Exhibition (QITCOM 2019), Qatar’s biggest information and communication technology event, set to begin from tomorrow at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).
More than 100 speakers from 30 countries will address in this four-day long high-profile event which is being organised by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC).
More than 400 exhibitors will be showcasing their latest products and services. Spread over an area of 25,000sqm, the event will feature 15 pavilions of which seven will be from United States, United Kingdom, Oman, Jordan, Italy, Armenia and Rwanda. More than 30,000 visitors are expected to visit the event. QITCOM 2019 will enable participants to review the latest smart technology solutions and share knowledge.
MoTC Pavilion is at the heart of the QITCOM Exhibition. Visitors will be able to discover the latest programs and innovations from MoTC that are continuously enhancing the quality of daily life in Qatar. Displays will showcase the work of land transport, maritime transport, information technology, digital society development and cyber security.
Organisers of the event organised a tour of QNCC for members of local media yesterday where exhibitors were giving final touches to their booths.
QITCOM 2019 will welcome international delegations, local participants and exhibitors from around the world. The fifth edition is particularly significant because it will host Qatar’s first Smart City Expo Doha, in partnership with the organisers of Smart City Expo World Congress, Fira de Barcelona. At the conference, local and international speakers will address topics related to smart cities namely, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and urban planning. The event will also accompany the Munich Security Conference’s main group meeting and the Round Table meeting on cybersecurity. MoTC has launched a special application for QITCOM on smartphones to facilitate communication between exhibitors and visitors.
