The Qatar Finance and Business Academy, in partnership with Northumbria University , will host a virtual ‘EMeet Our Admissions’ event over Microsoft teams today at 5pm.

Final year business students at the College of North Atlantic – Qatar (CNA-Q) are invited to join the virtual gathering to learn about the university’s top-up degree programmes and advanced entry programmes.

The virtual admissions session is organised to build on the progression agreement signed with CNAQ as a part of the university’s dedication to raise awareness about its top-up degree programmes, supplementary course programmes for upgrading from a diploma to a university degree, for students wishing to gain a finance related bachelor’s degree in Qatar in spite of current circumstances.

The online session targets business administration and business management students in their final year at CNA-Q aiming to upgrade their diploma to a full bachelor’s degree by joining QFBA-Northumbria University’s third year Finance and Investment Management programme or by joining one of the top-up degree programmes in International Banking and Finance or Accounting and Finance.

Currently within Qatar’s education landscape, QFBA-Northumbria University is the only university offering one-year top-up programmes that allow CNA-Q students to convert their advanced diplomas into internationally recognised AACSB and EPAS accredited degrees from Northumbria University UK.

CNA-Q students are also exempt from taking the IELTs exam to join the university’s various finance-related programmes. Khalifa al-Yafei, director of Student Affairs, said: “Many students have become uncertain about their academic futures and how to continue their university plans.

Our aim is to highlight the various options and pathways QFBA-Northumbria University offers to guide current CNA-Q students on how they can further develop their education.” With a flexible schedule of classes that are run in the evening, QFBA-Northumbria University allows working students to pursue their careers professionally and make use of evening classes three to four times a week towards completion of their programme.
