The opening of the 28th Doha International Book Fair by The Minister of Culture and Sports H E Dr Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) accompanied by ambassadors and diplomats. The fair is public from 29th of November until 5th of December.

Every year Doha Book Fair includes new titles reflecting hopes, visions and preparations for the future and self-improvement. Writers, artists and intellectuals go to this cultural occasion to talk about the works of the Arab artists, authors and poets.

The Doha International Book Fair perfectly aligns with the Qatar National Day Festival which will be a 10-day celebration. This December is going to be a festive month starting with the book fair.

It is the perfect time to get the book list this year for all book worms out there and head down to QNCC to get new alternatives to read over the holiday season.

The 28th Doha International Book Fair will be organized during this period witnessing many changes at the national and regional level.

Germany is the guest of honour of the exhibition as the culmination of the cultural year Qatar-Germany 2017, in addition to international contributions from Turkey, China and France.

ENG. ISMAIL M. EL-JUNDI whose book MY STORY: IN THE GAS INDUSTRY WILL BE FEATURED AT DOHA INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR.

An Engineer and an author, Ismail M. El-jundi is unveiling an autobiographical account of the burgeoning growth of Qatar’s Gas Industry, which he has witnessed firsthand. My Story: In the Gas Industry is going to share the growth of Qatar’s Gas Industry from the early stages of development and all the remarkable milestones accomplished by the country. It also throws light on the goals and plans kept in store for the coming future.

MY STORY: IN THE GAS INDUSTRY is based on the nation’s growth and its rise in the competitive global market. It is written in Arabic and may have several translations in the near future. Industrialists will certainly be pleased with this book as it is rich with technical insights into the development of the energy sector.   

The book contains the role of gas industry in development of the country over the years, and the obstacles it tackled making the company what it is today.

Mr. El-Jundi’s “An Arab in Japan: I saw, I hear, I read”, another of his publications will also be featured at the book fair. This book covers the Japanese culture through intriguing way of storytelling.

Mr. El-Jundi’s readers are eager to read what the author has to say about the present situation of the industry and share his personal perspective on the relations with neighboring countries as well as Netherlands, France, Japan, USA and several others where he was based over the years.
