Qatar handball team beat Lisbon 27-22 yesterday in their first test match at Duhail Sports Hall as part of preparations for the 18th Asian Games to be held in Indonesia from August 18 to September 2.
The Qatar Handball team will play against Lisbon in a second match today, their last test match before leaving for Indonesia next Saturday for the Asian Games.

The Qatari team recently played two matches against the Iranian team, winning the two matches 28-16 and 27-17 respectively.
At the 18th Asian Games, Qatar will play in Group A alongside Iran and Malaysia. Qatar Handball team is keen to retain the gold medal they won in the last edition of the Asian Games held in the Korean city of Ansan in 2014 after a 24-21 win in the final against Korea.
