“How to perfect the natural, no-makeup look?” Step 1 – You will need these 27 cosmetic products!

Who doesn’t want to look flawless with zero effort? Unfortunately, unless you’re blessed with an all-time filter-worthy skin, you would need a little extra assistance to get the much coveted no-makeup makeup look.

But we have good news! We’ve got you the most simplified, realistic and achievable version of this drill. 5 breezy steps to help you master that no-makeup makeup look.

(Psstt… Here’s a tutorial you can follow too!)

Step 1: Look & stay hydrated

Your makeup is only as good as your skin. If you want your makeup to look good, start with a good skincare routine.

Not counting the gazillion times we’ve been told to stay hydrated for that gorgeous glow, applying a hydrating sleeping mask / a facial oil at the end of your night time skin care routine can seal the deal! A plump skin is a key to achieving that flawless finish and these will help you wake up with suppler, smoother skin.

Recommendations: Seek products containing hyaluronic acid, a hydrating compound found naturally in your skin.

Step 2: The Jack of all trades!

Finding one product that does it all is a dream we live by. Apart from saving you time and money, this step is pretty essential when it comes to nailing the no-makeup makeup look.

Why? Because no matter how smooth your products are, layering them up will show & sometimes even stand-out.

BB creams are your best bets! Tinted BB creams can help you skip foundations. Look for a BB cream that suits your skin type, fortified with humectants (a substance that sustain moisture) for a smooth and more radiant texture. BB cream with an SPF is always a plus that should not go amiss!

Step 3: It’s in the eyes. Always the eyes.

Can this BE more accurate? The one facial feature you need to absolutely focus on for all kind of makeup looks and this universal rule applies here as well.

Define your eyes, but subtly. Tightlining is one of those beauty tricks you always hear about but can never quite figure out how to do it on your own.

Try using a smudge-proof formula with natural ingredients, so even if you’re a novice, you can get as close to your waterline as possible without irritating your eye.

If your eyes are small we’d recommend using a light colored eye pencil (beige or white depending again on the lightness of your skin) and for bigger eyes, we’d recommend a darker kohl (brown or black).

Step 4: Lash out!

What do all great beauty looks have in common? A good mascara.

Whether you’re going bold and glam or low-key and chill, mascara can make all the difference, helping you look more awake.

Buy something that allows you to build volume with tons of lift and curl and zero clumps.

Maybelline is one brand with the best of mascaras that can give you fluttery lashes in one swipe.

Step 5: The Essential Nude

Finally, the perfect no-makeup makeup look requires the perfect your-lip-but-better nude.

Nudes with a touch of peach is apparently the most flattering nude shade because it plays off on warm as well as cool undertones.

Again always consider picking a lightweight, liquid formula, to get the polished look of a matte lip without the thick feeling of most shine-free lipsticks.

Pro tip? A nude matte lippie can also work as a blush or contour in a pinch. Just use your fingers to lightly tap the product into the concave of your cheeks for a natural-looking flush.
