The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has issued a circular, setting with immediate effect the maximum prices for hand sanitisers, wipes and disinfectants in Qatar.

The MoCI has issued a full list which includes all brands and types of hand sanitisers, wipes and disinfectants alongside their description and quantity with the maximum permitted price for each.
The ministry stressed that all pharmacies, and shops selling these products are not permitted to exceed the stipulated prices.

The ministry urges citizens and residents to report any violations or infringements through the following communication channels:

The maximum prices of some products, as mentioned on the list: HiGeen hand sanitiser gel papaya 110ml – QR11; Dettol hand sanitiser 50ml – QR9.75, 200ml – QR26.50; Bubbly hand sanitiser 500ml – QR32.50; Lifebuoy 55ml – QR6.25; Purell hand sanitiser 30ml – QR7; Dettol surface wipes 20s – QR13; Dettol hand wash 250ml – QR11.50.
