Hollywood has witnessed its fair share of child actresses come and go. They feature on a few soap operas or lifetime movies and they’re gone. Well, not in the case of Kathryn Newton. The budding star started out with a solid role on classic soap opera All My Children.
As she grew up we saw more and more of her. She had a big role on Gary Unmarried and even starred in the hit franchise Paranormal Activity! Kathryn even won an award at the 34th Young Artists Awards for the role. Well, over this past year she’s come a long way from being the girl in the haunted house…
Her growing influence started with her hit character on the long-running show Supernatural. But she really solidified her presence in 2017 with her role as the daughter you loved to hate in hit mini-series Big Little Lies starring alongside legends like Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon.

We’re halfway into 2018 and she has already claimed the year. Kathryn had big roles in two Oscar-nominated movies; LadyBird and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Paired with all of the buzz surrounding her upcoming role in the eagerly awaited Pokemon movie Detective Pikachu, Kathryn has slowly but surely built her way towards becoming a household name.
The blonde bombshell isn’t only known for her amazing acting skills, she’s also been killing it on the golf course! You read right, in her free time the Notre Dame High School graduate helped her team win three league championships during her time in school. The actress even admitted that if her acting career doesn’t work out she’s more than happy to head to University and continue her golfing!
She really does it all. At only 21, the star has definitely kick-started her career in full gear. Having her name mentioned among so many influential stars has guaranteed her respect and a solid place in Hollywood and on our screens…
