With the AFC Asian Cup 2019 final right around the corner, everyone in Doha will be tuning in. Everyone will be tuning to watch and cheer for the Qatari team against Japan tomorrow at 5pm. Some may go out to restaurants to watch the screening, while others may decide to stay in and have a small gathering with their friends.

If you decide to stay in then, get together for football should be fun, casual and delicious! Step away from the big bags of chips and store bought salsa, put the popcorn bags to the side and surprise your friends with a delicious spread of home-made treats that will add more life to the party.

Choose your favorites from this list and create a spread that people just can’t pull themselves away from.

Quick Garlic Pickles

These are so incredibly easy, you just might never buy store bought pickles again! A mixture of water, garlic, salt, sugar, vinegar and peppercorns are simmered for 5 minutes. The garlicky goodness is cooled completely then poured overtop sliced pickle rounds and refrigerated for an hour or 2 {or overnight}. They are crisp, slightly salty, perfectly garlicky and just a hint of pepper.

Spinach Artichoke Puff Pastry Cups

The filling for these Spinach Artichoke Puff Pastry Cups is simple… baby spinach, marinated artichoke hearts, cream cheese, shredded cheese, egg, garlic powder, salt & pepper.

Roast Beef & Pepper Jack Crescents with Au Jus

Buttery crescents, pepper jack cheese and roast beef all rolled up and brushed with a simple garlic and parsley butter. Baked until golden, melty cheese everywhere and so fragrant from the garlic! The au jus is simple as well; simply beef broth simmered with garlic and onion powder.

Buffalo Chicken Meatball Subs

Easy spicy chicken meatballs served in a hot dog bun along with shredded red cabbage for crunch and finished with ranch or bleu cheese dressing. These are sure to be a HUGE hit!

Tortellini Caprese Skewers

These have just 3 simple ingredients and so full of flavor! You can make these ahead of time and they will surely be a hit with friends and family.

Cheesy Artichoke Pull Apart Bread

This honestly couldn’t be easier to make either! A nice loaf of crusty bread, slices of fontina cheese and a mix of artichoke hearts, garlic and fresh parsley. All shoved in there and baked for 15 minutes until golden, warm and oozing!

Baked Taco Dip

This Baked Taco Dip is perfection for that and for any party appetizer! The perfect amount of spice, creamy and so cheesy.. this one is a winner my friends and it is so easy to throw together too!

Pretzel Crusted Chicken Fingers Garlic & Chive Aioli

Kid or not, chicken fingers are pretty fantastic and fun! The crushed up pretzel coating is so great; adding an amazing salty crunch. To add a little more flavor to the coating I added in some ranch seasoning too so yea, the flavor is pretty great.

Teriyaki Pineapple Wings

A mix of teriyaki sauce, ketchup, crushed pineapple, garlic, brown sugar, crushed red pepper and a little water. Blend everything then simmer until thickened. Once the wings are done baking, toss them in the sauce and a simple garnish of toasted sesame seeds and sliced scallion.

Buffalo Cauliflower Bites with Yogurt Ranch Dip

The cauliflower florets are dipped in a very light batter then baked until tender and lightly golden. The buffalo sauce is made the same way any buffalo sauce would be made- hot sauce and butter.
