Very Berry – Blueberry Smoothie
Ingredients
2 cups fresh blueberries 2 cups plain yogurt 1/4 cup milk 2 tablespoons honey 1 cup ice cubes
How to Make It
Step 1: In a blender, combine the blueberries, yogurt, milk and honey. Puree until smooth.
Step 2 :When ready to serve, add the ice and then pulse and blend the mixture until it is a smooth. Taste for sweetness and add more honey, if desired.
Mango Tamarind Smoothie
Ingredients
1 pound frozen mango 1 tablespoon tamarind paste 4 tablespoons agave nectar 1 14-ounce can unsweetened coconut milk
How to Make It
Step 1 : Add the mango, tamarind paste, agave nectar and coconut milk to a blender and blend until smooth. Serve chilled.
Strawberry, Banana and Almond Butter Smoothie
Ingredients
1 frozen peeled banana, cut into 1-inch pieces 1/2 cup frozen strawberries 1/4 cup plain low-fat yogurt 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon almond butter 1 tablespoon honey 1 cup water Salt
How to Make It
Step 1 :Combine all of the ingredients except the salt in a blender and process until smooth. Season with salt and serve.
Banana Smoothie
Ingredients
2 ripe bananas, cut into 1-inch chunks 1/2 cup plain yogurt 1 cup fresh orange juice 2 tablespoons honey 2 tablespoons wheat germ 2 cups crushed ice
How to Make It
Step 1 Combine the bananas with the yogurt, orange juice, honey, wheat germ and crushed ice in a blender. Blend at high speed until smooth and frothy. Adjust the sweetness with more honey or orange juice and serve.
Blackberry Buttermilk Smoothies
Ingredients
1 cup chilled blackberries 1 cup chilled buttermilk 2 tablespoons honey Pinch of salt.
How to Make It
Step 1 : Combine the chilled blackberries with the chilled buttermilk, honey and salt in a blender and puree until the mixture is smooth. Refrigerate until well-chilled, about 15 minutes. Pour the smoothies into tall glasses and serve.
