Katara launches mobile video competition

Qataris and residents who have a penchant for filmmaking have the chance to win prizes using only their mobile phones by joining a video competition being organised by the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara). Following the launch of a series of online contests last week, Katara has announced a mobile video competition dubbed “Katara 60 Seconds Awareness.”

Movie Review: Hidden Figures

The title “Hidden Figures” has a double meaning. On one hand, it refers to the mathematical calculations that went in to making John Glenn the first American man into space in 1962. On the other hand, it describes Katherine G. Johnson, Dorothy Vaughan, and Mary Jackson, three African-American NASA mathematicians who did many of those calculations.

Oscar Award Winners 2020

We made it. After more than three hours of Oscars fare, from red carpet proceedings and Billie Eilish memes, to entertaining speeches and triumphant wins (mainly for Parasite), Hollywood's biggest night is done and dusted. It turns out our handy and totally accurate winner predictions weren't totally accurate after all. Mainly because Parasite did better than expected, and deservedly so.
