- Always apply sunscreen before going out in the sun as it will protect your skin from sun and will prevent it from drying out.
- Avoid hot baths however nice they may feel. Stick to lukewarm water to retain your skins moisture.
- Use an emollient-rich body wash or shower gel as bar soaps dry the skin
- You feel great when your hands and feet feel great. Take it a step further and pamper your hands and feet with manicures and pedicures.
- Useful Makeup TipsChoose colors that complement the weather and are right for your skin tone. Use brown or grey to make your eyes pop.
- If you have dry skin, then just apply some moisturizer before starting.
- Use cream foundations as they tend to hold more moisture and give a nice hydrated finish.
- Set your makeup with a translucent powder so that it won’t rub off onto your coats or scarfs.
- Wear waterproof eyeliner and mascara, so that your makeup won’t smudge when faced with cold wind and wet weather.
- Hair care Tips
- Use lukewarm water to wash your hair and don’t skip conditioner.
- Prevent dandruff by adding a few drops of lemon juice to the oil you apply. Do it at least once a week.
- Always cover your hair with a cap or beanie when you go out to protect your hair from the cold wind which could damage your hair strands.
- Also avoid using blow dryers and curling and straightening irons. Even if you use them, apply conditioner before using them.
- Lip care Tips
- Avoid licking your lips and biting them.
- Always keep your lips covered with a good balm. Keep lips supple by dabbing on lip balm rich in castor oil, vitamin E, cocoa butter or olive oil.
- Make sure that the balm contains an SPF 15 or 20.
- Massaging lips with ghee(clarified butter) and leaving a thin layer overnight acts as a natural protection for lips.
- To keep your lips moisturized, massage it with sweet almond oil. It will give you pink, soft and smooth lips.
- Watch your Diet
- Drink lots of water. It keeps your skin hydrated, reduces wrinkles and flushes out toxins. Keep the water flowing so that your skin keeps glowing!
- Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to keep your self healthy. Eat foods containing vitamin C as they help boost collagen production in the skin.
