The Qatari Diar Company opened Abrouq and Umm Samra roads, which are the main streets that lead to Lusail Stadium, that will host the opening and the final matches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The opening of the two roads comes within the framework of Lusail City’s preparations to host the World Cup matches; the art work along the roads is expected to be completed by the end of next year.

Together the length of the two roads is 4.9km. They link the southern areas with the northern areas through a 640-meter tunnel that extends under the main commercial street in Central Lusail.

The new roads will make the movement between Lusail City’s neighbourhoods and districts such as Jabal Thuaileb, Madinat al-Yasmin right up to Lusail stadium easier.
Qatari Diar began establishing Lusail City in North of Doha in December 2005, which is considered the largest city in the world that is built according to sustainability criteria.
