Qatar National Day celebration kicks off this Saturday. A month filled with festivity and gratefulness in the hearts of people. There is not going to be one dull moment in this cultural and lively country. Gear up for a days of celebration coming starting this Saturday.

QFSW’s Interactive National Day Celebration

Starting this Saturday, Qatar Foundation for Social Work (QFSW)  along with many organizations will host several events filled with activities and fun during the National Day celebration at Darb El Saai. This festive filled celebration will last 10 days.

QFSW’s motive behind these events is to bring awareness amongst the people of Qatar by keeping interactive and engaging contest for the public during the celebration.

Sheikha Najla Al Thani, Director of the Media and Communication Office at the QFSW talked about the content and public awareness to be offered at these events organized by different centers under QFSW. One of the special events is “Kids Qatar” is to include several interactive games for the families.

He also talked about targeting the youth with games like “Arrows Throwing” which gives the youngsters of the Nation an insight   about futuristic goals that helps build up the country. It will help the youth to think out of the box and make their own goals by participating in different projects.

The Family Consulting Center ‘Wiqaf’ and ‘Ehsan’, a Center for Empowerment and Elderly Care are two additional games that the QFSW will provide. It will help with the vision of togetherness between the people of the country. By educating families about values and duties towards raising the future of Qatar through love and support. Ehsan will help with the idea of ‘The Volunteer’ to help the senior and elderly community.

QFSW is also offering in addition to educational events, a theatre for public to throw light upon the major social issues. The interactive way of telling the public to stand tall and proud with the nation.

AlBahie Auction House  

AlBahie Auction House is conducting pre-auction exhibition that is open to the public starting 1st December and on view until  the 13th of the month. the day before the auction, the organisers have said in a statement. ‘Made for Qatar’ celebrates Qatar National Day with a curated selection of objects to display, to “wear and to show one’s pride on December 18, Qulu li Qatar”.

Starting 10:30 AM to 8 PM on weekdays and 5:30 PM to 10:30 PM on weekends.

AlBahie will also host Doha Film Institute for two screenings of Dari Qatar. This is a part of the pre- exhibition.

The exhibition is going to be filled with colors and fabrics that inspire people and fill hearts with patriotism.

Fairy Tale Night By The Doha Players

When you have not had enough of this weekend, join over for a Saturday fairy-tale in Qatar itself. “Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs” , Ultimate Panto, a winter pantomime, filled with magic and winter love hosted by The Doha Players.

The Spider Cafe is offering snacks and drinks for the early birds.

Grab the tickets as the last day show is this Saturday, 9th December.
