During the summer, we all want some sun on our skin and ice in our drinks. Nothing screams summer like chilling by the pool with tanning oil in hand and an iced mocktail in the other! Speaking of said mocktail…we’re all constantly calorie counting, try as we might it’s hard to resist. With bikini bods in mind, we try to watch what we’re eating where we can during the summer. Well, there’s one whopping calorie intake that we hardly pay attention to: mocktails! Healthy fruity drinks are rare to find, until now. We’ve put together five mocktails that are guaranteed to keep your thirst quenched and your waist cinched all summer!
Green Teatini
What you’ll need:
- 1 part green tea, brewed and chilled
- 1 sparkling water
- juice from a whole lime
- 1 tablespoon agave nectar
- OPTIONAL: Add a splash of apple juice to give it an extra pop!
We couldn’t give you a list of healthy mocktails and leave out martinis. Well, this fun twist on the classic not only saves you calories, but it boosts your metabolism! The benefits of green tea are endless, and this is cocktail has the fewest calories on the entire list!
Peach Mojito
What you’ll need:
- 1/4 peach, cubed
- 1 tbsp peach flavored syrup
- 10 mint leaves
- 1/2 lime, sliced in wedges
- 6 oz sparkling orange juice
You can’t do summer without a massive intake of mojitos. It’s just an absolute must. Peach gives this drink a fruity and sweet twist, which gives you an even more refreshing drink with fewer calories! Throw in a few peach juice ice cubes to really elevate this drink and give it a fun twist!
Skinnygirl Sunrise
What you’ll need:
- Splash of orange juice
- 2 tbsp of light cranberry juice
- 1 tbsp of peach juice
- 1/4 cup of sparkling water
- orange slice and cherry for garnish
Using light cranberry juice and sparkling water instead of 7Up or Sprite really keeps down the calories in this cocktail. This delicious fruity special is the perfect drink to serve to guests and leave them impressed!
Citrus Surprise
What you’ll need:
- 3 oz Diet Sprite
- 2 1/4 oz lime soda water
- Squeeze of fresh lime
- Squeeze of fresh lemon
- A Splash of freshly squeezed orange juice
- Splash of fresh grapefruit
- Splash of lemon for garnish
This spritzer definitely gives you the dose of vitamin C you’ll need. From lemon to grapefruit to orange juice, this is definitely extremely citrus-y which makes it a huge thirst quencher! With a bit of fizz and a lot of citrus, this is definitely going to be your new summer fave!
