Titled ‘Screen for life’, an initiative by the National Cancer Program, is coming back for its 2nd year and launched its program at the Intercontinental Doha – The City with exciting partnerships within the venue’s in house restaurants and lounges.

Intercontinental Doha – The City launched their promotion activities through a press briefing held at the hotel venue inviting media personnel, contributors and doctors from the National Cancer Program (NCP) to promote Breast cancer awareness as part of the National Cancer Program’s initiative.

Dr. Mohammed Elsaid Abdelnabi, the clinical lead radiologist from the NCP spoke about the effects of breast cancer and how it can be reduced to a minimum if detected early. He also told the attendees that it will be a start if women took a mental image of their breasts on a daily basis and noticed from time to time if they saw any changes and came in for check-ups as well. He stressed on the symptoms and aims at spreading more awareness with each campaign for both men and women. The breast and bowel screening program is a life-saving, population based initiative that aims at promoting education, awareness and early detection of breast and bowel cancel in Qatar, titled ‘Screen for life’, it being conducted under Qatar’s National Cancer Program which represents a shift towards preventive and community based care.

The hotel will indulge in a month long promotion of the campaign at all their outlets for guests and visitors.
