How To Make The World's Best Makeup Remover Pads

Removing dirt and oil from your skin is essential if you want your skin to look and feel its best. When we leave dirt and oil on our face it creates a perfect breeding ground for bacteria that can cause breakouts and other skin conditions.

Commercial products are available but are often full of chemicals that can dry out or irritate our skin. Not to mention the fact that they are usually quite pricey.

You can save a few dollars by making your own non-toxic cleanser and makeup remover. The best part of making your own makeup remover is that you can customize the ingredients to suit your skin.

It is a multi-purpose remedy that can ease a number of skin conditions. Often used for spot treating acne, with hazel also soothes dry skin, reduces itchiness, decreases inflammation and is highly effective at removing oils from the skin. It is often used as an antiseptic and can be applied directly to the skin to treat acne, reduce puffy eyes, reduce the appearance of varicose veins and lock moisture into the skin.

3 More Ways to Remove Makeup Naturally

Honey: Honey is a highly therapeutic way to remove makeup naturally while locking in moisture. It has powerful antibacterial properties that help keep acne away and enzymes that help remove dead skin cells. To remove makeup, apply a small amount of raw honey onto a wet cloth and spread over your face in a circular motion. Allow the honey to set on the skin for at least five minutes before rinsing with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and apply a little coconut oil for extra moisturizing.

Full Fat Milk: Ladies of royalty used milk baths thousands of years ago to beautify their skin. The fat and protein in milk hydrate the skin and help it retain moisture while removing makeup, dirt, and bacteria. Simply dip a cotton ball in milk and wipe your face. It is safe to use around your eyes and will leave your skin feeling fresh and clean.

Olive Oil: Olive oil helps remove impurities and hydrates the skin at the same time. Simply dip a cotton ball in olive oil and gently wipe your face. Follow up with a warm rinse and pat dry.
