Located on the 2nd floor of Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel & Villas, the signature restaurant Isaan recently set off on a journey of self-discovery and has now returned with an authentic new menu and an exotic new selection of distinctive cocktails.

The relaxed and humble region of Thailand, Isaan is comprised of 20 provinces, each with an enchanting story to tell. The inspiration for the restaurant’s creative new menu is the story of two travelers who embarked on an adventure to unearth the pleasures of Thailand and to share the tales of the people the met, the places they saw and the fragrant aromas and flavors they encountered.

The restaurant’s innovative new cocktail list offers concoctions of special beverage, all harmonized with fresh ingredients from the kitchen, thus bridging the gap between kitchen and bar. These new cocktails include the Tom Yum Collins, the Isaan Express and the Mr. Chai—all as distinctive and different as the region that inspired them.

Satisfying the palates of all diners, Thai Chef de Cuisine Somporn Sintawee is an expert at presenting authentic cuisine in a contemporary style. Chef Sinatwee dove with passion into his culinary repertoire, creating a menu that showcases the bold flavors of the Isaan region. This menu includes signature dishes such as the popular grilled whole sea bass in pandan leaves, pad Thai and larb ped.

“The new beverage menu is a very welcome addition to the offerings at Isaan. Our restaurant is well known on the Doha culinary scene for its authentic food and charming hospitality, so to now have a beverage menu equally as special is a fantastic development. I am from Isaan myself, so I have an invested passion in the food and culture that comes from the region. It gives me a great sense of pride to be able to share this with the people of Doha and to take them on a journey through my region,” Isaan’s Manager Adisak Onjan said.

Isaan’s new menu was introduced at the beginning of October and includes set menus and à la carte options. On Mondays, diners can experience a wealth of culinary delicacies during one of the restaurant’s renowned “Curry Nights”, which offer unlimited curry for QAR 95, or join us on Fridays for our Chatuchak brunch, which starts at QAR 290.
