Inspired by the Polynesian islands, Hilton Doha’s new outdoor terrace will be the venue of choice for after work and weekend gatherings.

DOHA-QATAR, 05 November 2018: Hilton Doha is excited to announce the official opening of Tahitian Village, a brand-new entertainment and Polynesian island inspired restaurant bar set on the waters in West Bay.

This unique venue will welcome guests in true Polynesian style with great food, spectacular views and a lively atmosphere at this exceptional waterfront restaurant and bar at Trader Vic’s, Hilton Doha.

This indoor-outdoor venue offers a new seating capacity of an additional 200 seats, live entertainment and a variety of food including dishes inspired by the food of the Polynesian islands such as an array of sushi, grilled meats prepared in the restaurant’s Chinese oven with colorful cocktails, mocktails and other beverages.

As a part of its launch, Tahitian Village will be introducing an exciting interactive app called Tiki Vibes, which can be downloaded from the app store. This app will allow users to create music using a digital Ukelele which can then be uploaded to Tahitian Village’s social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram by tagging @tahitianvillagedoha. The best music composer will win a weekend staycation at Hilton Doha including dinner for two at Trader Vic’s.

Says general manager Richard Reid, “The Tahitian Village at Hilton Doha will not only offer a new venue for dining and drinks, but an entire island lifestyle concept making our new launched app and ideal extension to what Tahitian Village will be offering including our live DJs, inhouse band and performers.”

Tahitian Village’s new menu concept focuses on sharing style dishes and will introduce ‘small plates’, or tapas style servings including exotic sushi, prawns and mussels among other delicacies. Another exclusive feature will be the succulent meat selection of beef prime ribs and Chateaubriand that are tenderly prepared in the brand’s infamous traditional Chinese Oven. The food focuses on the concept of Polynesian inspired dishes that can easily be enjoyed between friends, adding to the atmosphere of the venue.

Adds head chef, Chef Simon Chen San Wen “We are thrilled about guests visiting Tahitian Village to try our Sushi offering. Our selection is unique to the islands of Polynesia ensuring the tropics are incorporated into our sushi offering while remaining true to the heart of Asian cuisine. Our menu is unique ensuring guests will keep coming back for more.”

The venue is situated next to Trader Vic’s with its own entrance and bar area which overlooks the Gulf Sea creating an idyllic escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. Offering thatched roofing, with a variety of seating arrangements under protected cape reed roofs, guests can choose from lounge seating, dining tables and high tables in the dining area and enjoy drinks at multiple bar spaces offered outdoor. Tahitian Village’s operating hours are 4:00pm – 02:00am, Sundays to Fridays and 12:30pm – 02:00am on Saturdays.

Adds Reid: “We look forward to building long lasting relationships with our customers through great service, our relaxed atmosphere and awesome food and drinks ensuring guests make Tahitian Village their idyllic destination in Doha.”
