Something big has arrived in Qatar!

Jeff Koons: Lost in America is opening this 21st of November 2021 until 31st of March 2022 at Qatar Museums’ Gallery ALRIWAQ, MIA Park.

Curated by renowned curator Massimiliano Gioni, director of the New Museum in New York, “Jeff Koons: Lost in America” tackles American life and culture as told through Koons’ autobiography, starting from his childhood in Pennsylvania until his current life as an adult.

Koons, known for his larger-than-life yet reflective take on American pop culture, brings more than sixty of his artworks created during his whole artistic career for this exhibition. This is also the artist’s first exhibition in Qatar and in the Middle East region.

With the entire series divided into 16 galleries, guests will be able to see representations of his iconic pieces – like Balloon Dog (1994-2000) and Play-Doh (1994-2014) – along with his newest creations, which will be shown for the first time here in Qatar.

Interested visitors must purchase timed tickets online and in advance at Qatar Museums ticket portal,, for QAR 75 per adult.  Each single-entry ticket allows only one hour of scheduled viewing. Guests are advised to come on time for their visit.

Children (16 years old and below) and students are eligible for free tickets.

All guests are required to follow a conservative dress code and to present a green status in their Ehteraz mobile application. Face masks must also be worn throughout the viewing.

Jeff Koons: Lost in America is part of the ongoing cultural activities from the Qatar-United States 2021 Year of Culture, a program that celebrates the partnership between both countries.
