Recently Beckham’s typically dark wardrobe has had a colour makeover- and we approve wholeheartedly. Here, the fashion designer pairs a yellow dress with turquoise high-cut shoes for a stylish, spring-ready look. Not so keen on bright colours? Start by colour blocking  burgundy, navy and khaki then ease into brights.

4. Don’t be afraid of statement red

Red is big news this season, and if you’re not brave enough to opt in for a full-look, why not dip your toes in the trend via a slingback shoe or with an elegant top handle bag? Beckham’s knitted dress is flattering and perfect for day-to-night. Note the contrasting shirt underneath, too.

Wear it in loose waves a la Victoria, who sent Instagram into a meltdown when she unveiled her new length last year.

Not only is the cut of Beckham’s new favourite shoe flattering and leg-elongating, the white hue makes them seem spring-ready without baring your whole foot. Her matching bag further cements this look as one which offers excellent style impct without looking too try-hard.

7. Try a new bag shape: the half-moon

Not quite ready to embrace the micro bag? Beckham makes the case for a slightly roomier, but super sleek, semi circle shape that adds interest to a simple look. Hers is of course from her eponymous brand and costs upwards of £1,000, but other cool bag labels, Mansur Gavriel and A.P.C, also offer this shape at more affordable price points.

8. Denim doesn’t have to mean casual

A slim fit knit and nude heels will instantly elevate denim into evening status. The key to this is to ensure there are more dressy elements to your outfit than casual; pair with a small clutch rather than a large tote, and keep makeup and hair sleek to lend to your pulled-together vibe.

It’s rare we see Beckham with a bright lip, instead she prefers a subtle smokey eye. If you’re heading out for the evening but don’t want to look too ‘done’, VB’s method could be for you. Go for browns and golds which flatter all eye colours.

Masculine tailoring is big news for this season as well as next, but of course, Beckham is already in on the act. Although there are a plethora of pastel blue and blush pink options on the high street, for longevity and to see you through to winter, camel and grey are timeless options.
