I personally feel at my best when I take alcohol out of the equation. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a glass of wine or a good cocktail like any other girl. I just happen to notice that my body feels better and my mind is more focused and alert when alcohol is not in the mix. Plus hey, my pants fit better too. It’s all about balance, right?

BLUEBERRY ROSEMARY MOCKTAIL SPRITZER RECIPE

I wanted to be sure to make this Blueberry Rosemary Mocktail Spritzer super low calorie. The splash of lime gives this drink the perfect tangy kick it needs to feel very cocktail-ish without really being one. I used maple syrup to sweeten it instead of sugar or agave, because again, who wants unwanted, empty calories? Not me! Five minutes is all you need to make this healthy mocktail recipe and I can guarantee it will be a hit at your next party or get together. The sparkling water is just perfect to finish the yummy concoction.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup filtered water
  • 1/4 cup blueberries, plus more for garnish
  • 1 sprig of rosemary, plus more for garnish
  • 1 cup sparkling water
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1/2 tbsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a blender, blend the blueberries, filtered water, and a few leaves of rosemary (6-7 leaves) until you have a purée-like mixture.
  2. Fill a glass with ice, set aside.
  3. Add the blueberry mixture to the rest of the mocktail’s ingredients in a separate glass, and mix gently with a spoon.
  4. Pour into ice-filled glass. Garnish with a rosemary sprig speared with blueberries.
  5. Serve immediately.

Notes

Home Chef Tip: Remember to mix the mocktail’s ingredients gently because of the sparkling water. If you shake it or mix it too vigorously, you will have a beautiful mess in your kitchen.
