How To Make Chocolate Brownies at Home

Occasions are just reasons to eat more chocolate. This week we are here with a brand new and quick recipe for you to try out. Chocolate Brownies!

It’s always better to make brownies at home because you can make as many as you want.

Here’s what you will need to start

  1. A Microwave Oven
  2. Baking Tray
  3. Mixing bowls
  4. Spatula
  5. Sieve
  6. A measuring cup

Ingredients

  1. 5 cup of cocoa powder
  2. 1 cup of all purpose flour
  3. 1 cup of powdered sugar
  4. 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  5. 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  6. 5 cup of any milk
  7. 100 gms of melted unsalted butter
  8. 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence (optional)
  9. Chocolate chips or chopped mixed nuts(optional)
  10. Nutella (optional)

Procedure

Before you start mixing the ingredients, preheat your microwave oven at 180 degrees.

We begin by sieving and mixing the dry ingredients.

Start with the flour

  • Add the sugar, the cocoa powder, the baking powder and baking soda, all through the same sieve and slowly mix it all together.

In another bowl, let’s prep the wet ingredients.

  • Beat 2 whole eggs making sure that the eggs were kept out of the fridge for some time so they are at room temperature. (If you have opted for eggless brownies, you can skip this step. It doesn’t really compromise on the taste level.)
  • Add the vanilla essence , melted butter, milk and if you have opted for nutella, add that as well and blend.
  • Add the wet mixture into the dry, slowly while mixing thoroughly with a spatula. After both mixtures are well incorporated, add in the chocolate chips, chocolate pieces or nuts.

The mixture should be thick yet viscous. It shouldn’t be like a dough. Less runnier than a pancake batter though. You can look up brownie videos on Youtube to get an idea of the consistency.

  • Pour the mixture into a baking tray that was greased with butter beforehand.
  • Tap the batter filled tray on the counter to let air bubbles escape.
  • Pop this into the oven and bake at 180 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. (The time really depends on the thickness of your tray. The thinner the tray, the lesser time it will take.)
  • Pause the oven after the first 20 minutes and poke the brownie with a fork or toothpick. If it comes out clean, your brownie is ready. If it sticks, check back again after 10 minutes.

Your house will be smelling divine by now.

Happy baking!
