Ooredoo in association with Qatar Tourism Authority is organizing the Ooredoo Doha Marathon which will run on the 12th January 2018.

Sir Mohamed Farah, a 6-time world champion and 4-time Olympic gold medalist, will be one of many great athletes who will be joining the half marathon this Friday.

The Ooredoo Doha Marathon is an annual event designed to encourage more people to get involved in sport and to raise money for worthy causes. The event features a full marathon (42.195km), half-marathon (21.0975km), 10K, 5K Juniors/5K Adults, 3K, and 1K run. Ooredoo organises the event as part of its commitment to improve health across the community and engage more people with sport.

We started the Ooredoo Doha Marathon as a way to bring people together, encourage them to live healthier lifestyles and give back to the community.

Now in its sixth year, we’ve partnered with the Qatar Tourism Authority to ensure that we get the biggest turnout yet on 12 January 2018.

Funds raised by entry fees to the Ooredoo Doha Marathon in Association with Qatar Tourism Authority will be donated to a range of worthy charities in Qatar.

The marathon features four courses for all abilities of runners including a full marathon, half-marathon, 10km and 5km route.

We also have a special children’s 3km and 1km fun run.

New for 2018, another category will be available – the ‘Elite Half Marathon’, which will see Qatar Tourism Authority invite some of the world’s best international athletes to participate.

All courses (except the Elite category) are open to everyone, and prizes will be awarded to the best runners in a range of categories, based on age and gender.

So get ready for the big race where the nation is going to be, this Friday the 12th!
