To mark the festive and joyous occasion of Qatar National Day on 18th December, Marsa Malaz Kempinski, the Pearl – Doha, celebrated the day with a series of special activities.

Mr. Wissam Suleiman said in this occasion, “The Marsa Malaz Kempinski, the Pearl – Doha team always takes great pride in being able to celebrate this special day with the merriment and traditions that define the spirit of Qatar. Qatar’s National Day is a landmark occasion not only for Qataris but also for those who call this nation home. We are honoured that we have celebrated this joyous occasion with them, and we take this opportunity to thank the country’s leaders for their efforts in strengthening Qatar’s position globally.”

Mr. Suleiman also added that entire hotel gleamed under burgundy lighting, while traditional music played at the lobby throughout the day. A series of numerous activities took place at the hotel’s private beach, including camel riding and henna for the ladies, kids activities amongst a host of other exciting things to do. In addition, for the first time ever, Marsa Malaz Kempinski, the Pearl – Doha presented the biggest National Day cake in Qatar with dimension 10 meters by 4 meters, total weight of 500 KG, (including 200 KG of flour, 50 KG sugar, 40 LT milk, 250 eggs , etc…) and was decorated by the Qatari flag colours, . The hotel pastry Chef prepared this special cake for this patriotic occasion, and was served with traditional Qatari coffee.

Guests spent the National Day at the secluded island and enjoyed the best view benefitted from the special offers on the day. These offers included a stay in a Deluxe Room for QAR 1,000 per night, for two persons, inclusive of a lavish buffet breakfast at Sawa Dining Room, and a special Qatari Brunch in Sawa Dining Room.
